ACTNO. $133 BILL NO. 32-0220 THIRTY-SECOND LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 201$ An Act amending title 29 Virgin Islands Code, chapter $ to extend the ban on plastic bags to include disposable, plastic drinking straws, and plastic tubular stirrers and to allow the sale of reusable drinking straws ---0--- Be it enacted by tite Legislature oftite Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 29 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 8 is amended in the following instances: (a) Section 500t is amended by renumbering the affected paragraphs accordingly and inserting new paragraphs (6), (7), (9) and (12) to read as follows: “(6) ‘Disposable’ means a product that is designed for a single use after which it is disposed of after use and disposed as solid waste. (7) ‘Drinking straw’ means a thin tube for transferring a beverage from its container to the mouth of the drinker; (9) ‘Plastic tubular stirrer’ means a thin, plastic straw usually used for stirring coffee, cocktails and other beverages. …
