ACT NO.6499 BILL NO. 24-0099 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2002 To amend title 20, chapter 35. Virgin Islands Code, to provide for the electronic registration with the Selective Service System of male residents age 18 through 25 when applying for a driver’s license in the Virgin Islands ---)--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 20, chapter 35, Virgin Islands Code, is amended by adding a new section 379 to read as follows: “$379. Selective Service System registration (a) Any male United States citizen or immigrant who is at least 18 years of age but Jess than 26 years of age shall be registered in compliance with the requirements of section 3 of the “Military Selective Service Act”, when applying to receive a driver’s license or renewal. (b) The Police Commissioner shall forward in an electronic format the necessary personal information required for registration of the applicants identified in paragraph (a) to the Selective Service System. …
