AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICE | THIS AMENDMENT Professional Service Contract (hereinafter “Amendment”) made this i'd) day of / 2016 in the Territory of the Virgin Islands, by and between the GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS, on behalf of the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (hereinafter referred to as “Government”) of 1834 Kongens Gade, St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands and ED PARTNERS GROUP LLC of 8200 Student Drive, Clinton Maryland 20735 (hereinafter referred to as “Contractor”). The Government and the Contractor are collectively referred to as the “Parties”. WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, on December 20, 2016 the Parties entered into Professional Service Contract No.P026DOET17 (“Contract”) to provide coaching and support training to new and inexperienced public school teachers across all grade levels within the St. Thomas/ St. John and St. Croix school districts on effective instructional strategies, best practices, and classroom management techniques; and WHEREAS, the Contract is due to expire on March 31, 2107; and WHEREAS, the Parties desire to amend the Contract to provide coaching and support training to new and inexperienced non-public school teachers in twenty five (25) non-public, private, and parochial schools in the St. Thomas/St. John and St. Croix School Districts; and WHEREAS, the additional services will require an increase compensation of FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS . ($567,000.00) thus increasing the total compensation of the Contract to ONE MILLION, NINE HUNDRED FIFTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($1,952,000.00) and WHEREAS, the Contractor represents that it is willing and capable of providing such services; and NOW THEREFORE, The Parties agree that the Contract is amended as follows: 1.
