ACT NN 7508 BILL NO. 30-0198 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Special Session 2013 An Act making an appropriation from the General Fund for the payment of $13,635,140 for the settlement with the Internal Revenue Service pursuant to a Closing Agreement by and among the Public Finance Authority, the Government and the Commissioner of Internal Revenue and authorizing the issuance of bonds, notes or other evidences of indebtedness of the Government of the Virgin Islands and the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority to refinance the payment of the Settlement Amount, fund any necessary reserves, and pay the costs of issuance of the Series 2013 Bonds; and authorizing the Government and the Authority to enter into certain agreements, and pledge, as applicable, either the Matching Fund Revenues and issue a limited special obligation note to secure repayment of all or a portion of the Series 2013 Bonds or the Gross Receipts Taxes, and issue a general obligation note to secure repayment of all or a portion of the Series 2013 Bonds ---0--- WHEREAS, the Virgin Islands Public Finance …
