By spring 2016, UVI will receive ACBSP accreditation for the School of Business. • 1H2. By Spring 2017, UVI will receive NCATE accreditation for the School of Education. • 1H3. By fall 2015, UVI will receive ABET accreditation for the Computer Science Program. 17 School of Education: Accreditation was confirmed – Goal Achieved. School of Business: Accreditation was confirmed as of May 2014 – Goal achieved College of Science and Mathematics: • The Computer Science Program will complete the readiness review to be submitted to ABET on July 1st 2016 for the accreditation Cycle 2016-2017. By spring 2015, UVI will increase by 10 percent the number of its courses offered online. 18 AY 12-13 Goal AY 14-15 Number of online Sections 104 114 148 Number of online Courses 74 81 85 COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND GLOBALIZATION (3B) 3B: Develop and implement a formal mentorship program between UVI personnel and identified community groups. 19 20 UVI SERVICE ACTIVITIES 3B: Develop and implement a formal mentorship program between UVI personnel and identified community groups. • By Fall 2015, there will be in place a distinct volunteer program at UVI that is offering services to the public. • Project #1: On Wednesday July 29 on St. Croix, UVI volunteers painted and installed equipment at the Alexander Henderson Elementary School. • Project # 2: On Thursday July 30 on St. Thomas, UVI volunteers beautified a therapeutic serenity garden at the Family Resource Center and, in conjunction with My Brothers Workshop, helped to paint picnic tables and raised garden beds at Addelita Cancryn Junior High School. • Project #3: On Wednesday August 12 on St. Croix, UVI community delivered education and school related supplies to the Queen Louise Home for Children as part of our Backpacks for Success outreach project.
