Ovesen versus Axel Tolberg decided in favor of the former, oO’Neal Henderson versus Viggo Tolberg, a victory for Henderson, Lloyd Hender- sen and Alfred Ovesen a draw. The boys finals resuited in favor of Brunner against Kerr, and a draw between Kerr and Lauritz Jensen. Mr. Bonaparte boxed one round each with Messrs. L. Henderson and Tyson.. Inasmuch as no one accepted }his challenge Gnu- boat Percival boxeéd two rounds with Aron Francis who retired in the second round. The prizes .were then delivered to the boy winners by Dr. Canegata. The programme was not strictly carried out because of the absence of some of g%he participants. The S. S. ‘‘Pulwicp’’ sailed on Satur- day evening from Nc.i’w York, having 50 tons cargo for Frederiksted, and 130 tons for Christiansted. The next steamer sailing will be on the 12th. On approaching the dock on her ar- rival from St. Thomas vesterday the Creole collided with a projecting ledge of the jetty and had one of her planks partly staved in and some copper rip- ped off her bottom. Fortunately the damage was not considerable and with Capt. Mgller on the job she was soon keeled over and overhauled. She sails for St Thomas this morning and will earry the mai' advertised to go by the ~ Vigilant whose departure has been post- pond it i advised. The UJ. S. 8. Tadousac called at this port yesterday evening and will remain here a couple of days it is understond. Among those who came over from St. Thomas by her were Secretary Timmons, and Bank-Director [Holst who are among . those comprising the commission appoint- ed by Government to effect a settlement of the labor deadiock, also Rev. and Mrs. J. There is at present a Congressional in- vestigation into the affairs of an organi- zation known as the Ku-Klux Klas. The weird name has back of it a larg: numb=r of atrocious crimes, commi!eu by citizens of the United States whose motives were based on selfishnesgp and ignorance. i lhe Ku-Klux-Klan is an organizaidn made up of white men who claim o be one hundred per cent American, and who have conducted a secrer form of hatred, directed againgt the Jews, Ca- tholies and Negroes.
