ACT NO. 6686 BILL NO. 25-0267 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2004 To proclaim October of each year as Virgin Islands Family Month ---0)--- WHEREAS, the family represents the foundation of civilization and cornerstone to each community; and WHEREAS, the loving family is one of the main sources of unity, happiness and joy; and WHEREAS, the devoted family is a tremendous source of strength, faith, and tradition for our children and our country; and WHEREAS, the faithful family believes it takes a village to raise a child and leaves none behind; and WHEREAS, the traditional family structure both extended and immediate has been compromised for many generations and needs to be restored to its social position of strength; and WHEREAS, the strong family fosters and supports positive improvements in all aspects of its community including in the areas of economy, education, industry, development, culture, and faith; and WHEREAS, the celebration of Virgin Islands Family Month will enhance and unify the individual, collective and community ben …
