ACTNO. 6992 BILL NO. 27-0101 TWENTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2008 An Act amending 3 V.I.C., chapter 27, section 718, to increase the percentage paid by the employer to the Government Employees Retirement System for retirement contributions for government employees ---0)--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3, chapter 27, section 718, subsection (g), Virgin Islands Code is amended by adding a new paragraph (12) to read as follows: "(12) after October 1, 2007 17.5%" SECTION 2. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 27 section 702 is amended at the end of subsection (c) after “agencies and instrumentalities” by inserting the following: “including all autonomous and semiautonomous agencies of the Government of the Virgin Islands.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on March 19, 2008.
