Potter Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 10, section 111, subsection (a)(1) is 2 amended by striking “and” and by adding the following after “environment”: 3 “,and mental health education and instruction that includes age-appropriate model 4 learning activities for grades kindergarten through 12 on the overarching mental health 5 themes like early intervention and prevention, stigma and discrimination reduction and 6 holistic approach to well-being and core principles such as person-centered care, ethical 7 practice and empowerment.. …

Potter Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. The mental health education shall include learning activities 8 that develop pupils’ mental health wellness, social connectedness and supportive 9 relationships through resiliency, problem solving skills, coping skills, self-esteem, and a 10 positive school and home environment.
