REPEAL OF CERTAIN LAWS PERTAINING TO 1 THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. 2 (a) REPEAL.—Sections 1 through 6 of the Act of May 3 26, 1936 (Chapter 450; 49 Stat. 1372–1373; 48 U.S.C. 4 1401–1401e) are repealed. 5 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—This section shall be deemed 6 to have taken effect on July 22, 1954. 7 Passed the House of Representatives January 17, 2007.
