September 7 Residents Still Urged to Prepare for Minimal Impacts U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Due to the continued changes in the forecast of Hurricane Lee moving away from the US Virgin Islands, there will be no sandbag or sand distribution today (Thursday, Sept. 7) or tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 8) at the Department of Public Works or the VI fire stations on St Thomas, St John, or St Croix The Bryan-Roach Administration is investing in the Territory’s people, infrastructure and future through transparency, stabilizing the economy, restoring trust in the government and ensuring that recovery projects are completed as quickly as possible.
