(2009) to afford the public the opportunity to be heard about the proposed revisions to the Pesticide Control Act Rules and Regulations. Following the publication of the proposed amendments to the Pesticide Control Act Rules and Regulations, DPNR identified the need to make edits for clarification purposes. The clarifications made are aligned with the requirements under PCA and the 2017 revised federal certification program standards to adequately protect applicators, the public, and the environment from risks associated with use of restricted use pesticides. The errata sheet, along with the proposed amendments to the Pesticide Control Act Rules and Regulations and related documents are available for public inspection, by appointment only by contacting the designated contact person below, at the DPNR offices on St. Thomas and St. Croix. Copies of all documents are also available on the DPNR website at dpnr.vi.gov and at the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library in St Thomas. To afford the opportunity for the public to review the errata sheet together with the previously published documents, DPNR is extending the comment period until September 14, 2021. The public can submit oral comments by participating in the July 29, 2021 virtual public hearing, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm by accessing the following link https://bit.ly/3qxwd3N or by dialing the following call-in number 1- 786-605-4468 and access code 191 600 583#. DPNR might need to limit the time allowed to each person to speak based on the number of people interested in speaking during the virtual public hearing; therefore, pre-registration to speak during the virtual public hearing is encouraged by contacting the designated contact person below. DPNR will also accept written comments. To submit written comments, send your comments to the designated contact person below by regular mail or electronic mail at the addresses below. Comments submitted by regular mail shall be postmarked no later than the deadline of September 14, 2021. Comments submitted by electronic mail shall be submitted no later than 11:59 pm on September 14, 2021. WRITTEN COMMENTS BY ELECTRONIC MAIL ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. When submitting written electronic comments make sure to write in the SUBJECT OF THE EMAIL “COMMENTS TO THE PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE PESTICIDES RULES AND REGULATIONS.” The designed contact information is as follows: LESLIE V. DPNR will take all comments into consideration in making final edits to the proposed revised regulations and DPNR will submit the final proposed revisions of the Rules and Regulations to the appropriate government entities, in accordance with 3 V.I.C. Chapter 35.
