Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Croix Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2024, at 5:30 pm. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams. The agenda is as follows: Public Hearing (public testimony will be heard) Major Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Permit No. CZMJL0007-23- Infra Towers, LLC. The applicant proposes to construct a 100’ Monopalm communications tower, capable of supporting up to three wireless carriers, place the tower within a 30’x50’ fenced enclosure and place a generator and support equipment within the enclosure. The proposed activity is located on Plot 73, Estate Clairmont, St. Croix, USVI. The applicant has amended the original project scope to address the public concerns raised at the Public Hearing. The applicant proposes to construct and develop a boutique beach side hotel and amenities normally associated with a hotel, construct a new bar, gymnasium, restaurant and pool, replenish the beach and expansion of the greenspace footprint, improve the storm water drainage onsite and the immediate area by installing underground storm water drains, and create additional parking. The proposed project is located on Plots 108-EB, EC, and ED, 47-AA, 109 C, D, E, S, T, and R Estate LaGrande Princess, St. Croix, USVI. Decision Meeting (testimony will not be heard) Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0028-23- Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) requests permission to use FEMA Funds to replace St. Croix Central High School. The project scope will include demolition and new construction.
