This stamp is on exhibition i the let- ter case atthe local post office onuy with notice to the effect that sam will be on sale on or about October £h. As the issue of this stamp is limited only a small pumber will be available here while they last, and persons wining them for souvenir or collection purposes should gecure what they want as soon as they are placed on sale. The Harding M>mori- al Stamp is the same shape znd size as the current 2 cent stamp and bears/the portrait of Warren G. Harding within an oval and partly enclosed in a panel which is supported on either side by acanthus serolls. Above the portrait within a curved panel appear the words ‘iJnited States Postage’ in white roman capital letters. On aribbon below the oval is the pame ‘Harding’, and under tais at the bottom of “he stamip appear: the words ‘Cents.” In bo'h lower eorners within ovals with dark cackgrounds is the white numeral '2’. la the upper left- hand .corner appears the year of birth, ‘1365, and in the upper right-hand corn®r the year of death, ‘1923’. Paris,Sept.22nd. —Martial law has been prociaimed throughout Bulgaria, accord- ing toa despatch received by the Bul garian Legation here, which said it had received word that the Government at Sofia had decided to declare martial law throughout the country in order to pre vent the spread of insurrectionary agita-® tion. The Legation announced that it had received an absolute denial from” Sofia of reports circulated abeoad to the
