April 10 The Virgin Islands Office of Veterans Affairs and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be hosting town hall meetings in the Territory to recruit physicians to join the network of physicians used by the VA. Officials from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be on site to explain how the newly created “Providers Agreement Program” facilitates collaboration between the VA and community healthcare providers to enhance the services provided to local veterans. This is another effort to reduce and eventually eliminate veterans having to travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico for services that can be provided in the Territory. “We are inviting physicians that are licensed to practice in the Territory to come out and learn more about the program in order to make this goal a reality,” said Virgin Islands Office of Veterans Affairs Director Patrick Farrell.       Date and Time: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. UVI St. Thomas Campus – ACC Conference Room   Thursday, April 12, 2018 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Juan F.
