Dear Mr. Law: The Tutu Environmental Investigation Committee (TEIC) is currently implementing a Remedial Investigation (RI) that includes an evaluation of the groundwater quality in the Tutu area. This work is being conducted in accordance with a work plan approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The sampling activities are being coordinated with the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR). On behalf of the TEIC, Geraghty & Miller, Inc. is coordinating the supply well sampling in the Tutu area. One well, known as the Ottley Supply Well, is located on Tax Map No. 1- 05602, Section 3 on Block 03, Lot 175. This property (formerly Classic Printers) is currently owned by the U.S. …

This letter serves to notify the Department of Justice acting on behalf of the U.S. Virgin Islands Government, that the Ottley Supply Well is tentatively scheduled for sampling on May 25, 1994. We therefore, request access to the property to sample this well on behalf of the TEIC.
