109TH CONGRESS 2D SESSION S. 1829 AN ACT To repeal certain sections of the Act of May 26, 1936, pertaining to the Virgin Islands. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 † 2 S 1829 ES SECTION 1. REPEAL OF CERTAIN LAWS PERTAINING TO 1 THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. 2 (a) REPEAL.—Sections 1 through 6 of the Act of May 3 26, 1936 (48 U.S.C. 1401 et seq.), are repealed. 4 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendment made by 5 this section takes effect on July 22, 1954. 6 Passed the Senate September 29, 2006.
