ACT NO. 6840 BILL NO. 26-0064 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 An Act amending 28 V.I.C., by adding a chapter 18 to provide for a Uniform Environmental Covenants Act of 2006 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 28 Virgin Islands Code is amended by adding chapter 18 to read: “Chapter 18. Uniform Environmental Covenants Act of 2006 §381. Short Title This chapter may be cited as the “Uniform Environmental Covenants Act of 2006”. § 382. Definitions In this chapter: (65) “Activity and use limitations” means restrictions or obligations created under this chapter with respect to real property. (2) “Agency” means the Department of Planning and Natural Resources or any other state or federal agency that determines or approves the environmental response project pursuant to which the environmental covenant is created. …
