ACT NO, ‘742 BILL NO. 31-0003 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2015 An Act amending title 20 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 49, sections 741 and 742 to expand the definition of “abandoned motor vehicle,” and section 746 to confer upon the Department of Property and Procurement the power to sell an abandoned vehicle and for other purposes ---()--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 20 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 49 is amended as follows: (a) In section 741 by adding the following at the end after “old”: “or lacks a valid registration sticker.” (b) In section 742 by designating the existing language as subsection (a) and inserting subsection (b) that reads as follows: “(b) Any vehicle not registered and left on the public roadways or public property for seven days or more shall be ticketed, towed and stored. …
