ACTNO. 7529 BILL NO. 30-0159 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2013 An Act to allow a Referendum vote on the issue of increasing the term of office of local Senators from two years to four years ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. There shall be a referendum election to be held during the General Elections in November, 2014, to determine the will of the qualified electors of the Virgin Islands with respect to increasing the terms of local Senators from two years to four years. The question shall be in substantially the following form: Referendum on Increasing Senators’ Term of Office Mark One Square Only 1. Are you in favor of the United States Congress amending Section 6(a) of the Revised Organic Act of 1954 to increase the term of office of local Senators from two years to four years?
