ACTNO, 7841 BILL NO. 31-0041 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2016 An Act amending title 14 Virgin Islands Code chapter 55, sections 1083 and 1084 to require mandatory restitution for a conviction of grand larceny and petit larceny, and increasing the monetary threshold for grand larceny in section 1084 ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 14 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 55 is amended in section 1083 in the following instances: (a) Paragraph (1) is amended by striking “$100” and inserting “$500”; (b) The existing provisions are designated as subsection (a) and subsection (b) is added and reads as follows: “(b) | Whoever is convicted of grand larceny shall be required to pay mandatory restitution.” SECTION 2. …
