Globally Interactive NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 8, 2018 UVICES ARBORISTS WORKSHOP “PREPARING YOUR TREES FOR HURRICANE SEASON AND RESTORING STORM DAMAGED TREES” The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Cooperative Extension Service (CES) - Agriculture and Natural Resources Program in partnership with the VI Department of Agriculture - Forestry Division, will hold arborist workshops on ‘Preparing Your Trees for Hurricane Season and Restoring Storm Damaged Trees’. The workshops will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 on St. Croix - NWW Great Hall, and Thursday, June 21, 2018 on St. Thomas - CELL Training Room. Mr. Stafford Crossman, Acting State Director of UVICES, stated “All homeowners with trees on their property along with persons involved with, or interested in, caring for trees are encouraged to attend these important workshops. The information provided in the workshops will be very valuable as we prepare our trees for this year’s hurricane season, which is already here.
