Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Croix Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 5:30pm. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams. The agenda is as follows: Public Hearing (testimony will be heard) Public Hearing for Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0048-25- Virgin Islands Department of Education- St. Croix Educational Complex Renovation & Modernization. The proposed renovation/modernization program intends to re-utilize the existing building structures along with supplemental secondary new construction. The damage necessitates a roof repair, at a minimum, for Building 1. A roof replacement on Buildings 2 and 3, of the existing standing seam metal roof is also needed. Finish flooring replacement, cleaning, and repainting is proposed for all buildings. Demolition is proposed for several ancillary existing structures along with outdoor pedestrian areas and expansion of the current building footprint for Buildings 2 and 3. The project is located at 5-A & 5-C VICORP Land, St. Croix, USVI 00851. Decision Meeting (testimony will not be heard) Decision Meeting for Coastal Zone Management No. CZMO-MJ0021-25- Dirty Bottom, LLC- Modification. The project is proposing the installation of mechanical boat lifts within existing footprint. The proposed installation includes one (1) twenty-ton lift, eleven (11) twelve-ton lifts and sixteen (16) eight-ton lifts. The installation includes one existing eight-ton lift for which retroactive approval is sought. The project is location on Plot No. 63 / 63-A Estate Mt. Welcome, St. Croix 00820. Decision Meeting for Major Coastal Zone Management, CZMJL0001-24, Blue Sky Towers III, LLC. The project shall also include a 15-foot-wide by 1,285.84-foot-long access/utility easement that extends northwest connecting with East End Road. Also included is a 15-foot wide by 369.6-foot-long access/utility easement that extends southwest connecting with existing utilities. The tower and equipment will be located at Parcel 3, and the easement connecting East End Road shall cross over Parcel 2. Both parcels are zoned R-1 (Residential). The proposed project is approximately 28,431.60 square feet.
