The first phase of due investigation was conducted by Getaghty A Milter and Soil Tech Ocirpontkm between June and August 1992 and consisted of the installation of 19 monitoring wells in the study area (DPNR Earth Change Permit No. STT-331-92). Based on the results of the first phase of the investigation* the iastglkiUan uf four new monitoring wells was recommended in March 1993 by the THC to the TJSEPA, In anticipation of a timely approval by the USBPA, the TEIC applied for an amendment to the existing Earth Charge Permit for the installation of the four proposed monitoring wells, Earth Change Permit No. STT-281-93 was approved by the DPNR but the work was not conducted* The USEPA has since expanded the scope of the investigation and is in the final stages of approving the Phase n RZ Work Plan that will include the Installation of at least 11 new monitoring wells. The proposed locations of the 11 monitoring wells ate shown M^My^ on Figure 7-1, of which 3 copies ate included with this submittal. Additionally, a copy of each of the loc^om by property are included in letter-size paper copies.
