78 STUDENT DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES STATEMENT (Board of Trustees Meeting, October 21, 1973) The President requested the confirmation by the full Board of a statement concerning student disciplinary procedures. This state- hag been reviewed at the previous meeting of the Board of Trustees and had been further reviewed and approved with some modifications at a meeting of resident Trustees. However, the Board at this meet- ing asked for a final modification in the appeal provisions to leave the responsibility for these student disciplinary procedures in the hands of the President. After some discussion, agreement was reached that the President would modify the language of the appeals provi- sions in the document, would bring the document to a subsequent meeting for final approval, and that in the meantime the College would follow in a general way the due process provisions contained in the General Order on Judicial Standards of Procedure and Substance in Review of Student Discipline in Tax Supvorted Institutions of Higher Education, 45 F.R.D. 133 (W.D. Mo. 1968). …
