UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION Purpose: To approve an operational budget for the Foundation for the University of the Virgin Islands. Whereas, the Foundation for the University of the Virgin Islands is responsible for the fundraising efforts for the University and Pat Whereas, the University Relations component has had to utilize its general operating funds for specific fundraising activities and Whereas, this practice of using general operating funds has an impairing effect on the day to day operations for the component and Whereas, the Foundation has funds that can be provided for the specific fundraising activities Now Therefore Be It Resolved that the Foundation has approved the provision of $70,000 to the University Relations component to be utilized for fundraising activities at its meeting held on June 3, 1993 and The Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands subsequently approved the actions of the Foundation meeting at its own meeting on August 7, 1993. …
