Potter, by Request of the Governor WHEREAS, on May 12, 2025, the Governor of the Virgin Islands approved the lease agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Caribbean Buzz, LLC; WHEREAS, Caribbean Buzz, LLC, wiil be leasing a portion of Remainder Parcel No. 3B Estate Susannaberg, 17A Cruz Bay Quarter, St. John, consisting of 9,000 U.S. sq. ft. or 0.206 U.S. acres of improved land more-or-less as shown on O.L.G. No. A9-404-T92 for the purpose of operating and managing a helicopter transportation service at the existing helipad, with the additional purpose of medical evacuations from St. John to St. Thomas, and for other permitted purposes; WHEREAS, the rent will be $6,000 per annum, payable in equa! monthly installments of 5500: and 2 WHEREAS, title 31 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 21, section 205, subsection (c) provides that in addition to the Governor’s approval of any lease. the Legislature of the Virgin Islands must approve all leases exceeding a term of one year; Now, Therefore, Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Pursuant to title 31 Virgin Islands Code, section 205, subsection (c¢), the Legislature of the Virgin Islands approves the lease agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands, acting through the Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Property and Procurement, and Caribbean Buzz, LLC, for a portion of Remainder Parcel No. 3B Estate Susannaberg, 17A Cruz Bay Quarter, St. John, Virgin Islands, consisting of 9,000 US. sq. ft. or 0.206 U.S. acres of improved land more-or-less as shown on O.L.G. No. A9-404-T92, for an initial term of 20 years with an annual rent of $6,000 with an option to renew the lease for two additional terms of five years each, for the purpose of operating and managing a helicopter transportation service at the existing helipad, with the additional purpose of medical evacuations from St. John to St. Thomas, and for other permitted purposes. BILL SUMMARY This bill approves the lease agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Caribbean Buzz, LLC. for the purpose of operating and managing a helicopter transportation service at the existing helipad, with the additional purpose of medical evacuations from St. John to St. Thomas, and for other permitted purposes.
