ACTNG 8652 BILL NO. 34-0341 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2022 An Act amending Act 8244, Act 8473, and Act 8489 by reducing or deleting a total of $24,000,000 in prior appropriations from the Internal Revenue Matching Fund for the fiscal years 2020, 2021, and 2022 to allow for debt service payments ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Act No. 8244, Section 1, is amended in the following instances: (a) Strike the line items “UVI SCHOLARSHIP REVOLVING FUND $3,000,000” and “SUBTOTAL INTERNAL REVENUE MATCHING $3,000,000” in their entirety; (b) After the line item “TO GERS AS A CONTRIBUTION TO GERS OUTSTANDING EMPLOYER”: (1) strike the sum “$6,000,000” and insert “$5,000,000”; (2) in “SUBTOTAL INTERNAL REVENUE MATCHING” strike “$6,000,000” and insert “$5,000,000”; and (c) After “TOTAL INTERNAL REVENUE MATCHING” strike “$135,176,724” and insert “$131,176,724”.
