Fawkes, CERA, is reminding voters that they must apply by Friday, October 2, 2020, for any Absentee Ballot that must be mailed. This requirement is mandated to coordinate the timely delivery of their ballot with the United States Postal System. Act 8294 provides that any qualified elector can vote by Absentee Ballot in the 2020 Elections to ensure that electors are not disenfranchised by COVID-19. All completed Absentee Ballot application forms should be EMAILED or FAXED to the following: Esviballotstx@vi.gov- St. Croix Absentee Ballot Return Esviballotstt@vi.gov- St. Thomas/St. John Absentee Ballot Return Or by FAX: (340) 774-4523/ Fax- St. Croix Absentee Ballot Return (340) 776-2391/Fax- St. Thomas/St. John Absentee Ballot Return Supervisor Fawkes is pleased to announce that the first set of 2020 General Election ballots were mailed. The number of absentee ballots mailed thus far for the 2020 General Election are as follows: St. Thomas/St. John –452, and St. Croix 303 for a total territory wide-755. Voters are encouraged to vote on the ballots once received and place in the mail. Return your Absentee ballot to the Elections System of the Virgin Island in the pre-addressed envelope. First-class postage is Prepaid. No Postage is necessary. If an elector does not receive their absentee ballot by Friday, October 30, 2020, please contact their respective Elections office.
