ACTNO. 8765 BILL NO. 35-0151 THIRTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2023 An Act providing an appropriation for the salaries and expenses of the University of the Virgin Islands for the fiscal year October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024 ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The sum of $29,005,458, or as much as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to be transferred to the University of the Virgin Islands Fund for expenditure by the University of the Virgin Islands during the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, for the purposes hereinafter named in this section in accordance with the provisions of title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapters 33 and 35: (a) For salaries, including pay for regular and temporary employees; salary increases; employer's FICA and retirement contributions; overtime compensation of hourly rated employees; books, magazines, teaching materials and audio-visual supplies; equipment and supplies for offices, classrooms, laborator …
