UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION PURPOSE: To approve the granting of Professor Emeritus Status to Dr. Carmen Padgett, Retired Professor of Modern Languages, St. Thomas Campus. WHEREAS, at its meeting on June 18, 1981, the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands approved a policy for the conferring of emeritus status on former faculty members of the University of the Virgin Islands, and WHEREAS, Dr. Carmen Padgett retired from full-time active teaching at the University of the Virgin Islands in June 1995, after serving as Professor of Modern Languages for twenty-seven years in a meritorious manner, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Board of Trustees approves the granting of Professor Emeritus Status to Dr. Carmen Padgett, retired Professor of Modern Languages on the St. Thomas Campus. …
