ACT NO. 6891 BILL NO. 26-0300 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 “An Act amending title 2 Virgin Isiands Cade, chapter Z relating to lapse of appropriated funds --0-- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 28 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 2 is axyended by adding @ section 31 to read as follows: An appropriation enacted with the words “such sums shall remain available until expended”, or similar language is effective for only five years after its enactment date, after which time the appropriation lapses automatically.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on September 20, 2006.
