NEWS IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 19, 2015 UVI CES ANNOUNCES ARBORISTS WORKSHOP The University of the Virgin Islands Cooperative Extension Service Agriculture and Natural Resources Program will hold a FREE Arborists Workshop on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Research and Extension Center, Room 133 on the Albert A. Sheen Campus, St. Croix. The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Edward Gilman, Professor, Urban Trees and Landscape Plants in the Department of Environmental Horticulture at the University of Florida. The workshop will focus on tree pruning and tree risk assessment. All arborists and other persons involved with or interested in caring for trees are encouraged to attend this important workshop. …
