In the first episode Stella Donovan, a girl reporter, is sent out by her newspaper to cover a society circus being given by a millionaire: as she has no means of transporta- tion and the whole matter depends on speed, she simply take a motor-car which is parked outside a barber’s shop and speeds off with it; as she goes with a terrifi speod she is soon pursued by a traffic cob; during the wild run the ear meets with an accident “and is soon overtaken by the ‘‘ecob’’; instead of giving up the game the girl plays un- conscious’’, and while the cob goes to a telephone to call an amibulance she jumps out of the damaged car, throws herself on the cob’s motor-cyele and off she goes, reaching her goal in time. _This is only one of hundreds of interesting episddes in this serial. Be it enacted by the Coloni- al Couneil for St. Croix: that - the sum of Fres: 250,000 is ® hereby immediately available for the project to rebuild with conere'e the centre line road between Frederiksted e‘nd _hristiansted, in accordance with the plan approved by the Public Works Office. !
