The pastor Rev. J. C. Christensen opened the service with a short devotion- al exercise, told the object of the meet- ing, and called on Rt. Rev. Bishop Greider, who gave a short account of the Church in the 15th century, prior to the Reformation, which led to its awak- ening. He was followed by Rev. Folens- bee who spoke of the stand which the keformers took and the tenets upheld by them especially the free use of the Holy Secriptures, the justification by faith. The last sp:aker, Rev. Romig, wound up by show.ag the good -and great work which the early Reformers have done, and which is being continued by the various Protestant Churches in the Evangelization of the world. The judge is takinga trip to,.the mainland on business and while there he intends to give some lec- tures on the Virgin Islands with the hop~ that they may create more interest in them. The attitude of the Judgeis well known and he makes no secret of it. He thinks that the best form of Government for the present and for some time yet to come is the present one. He thinks and wisely 'so, that the question of moment for the islands is industry and economics, not p litics. We wish tre judge a pleasant trip and continued good health and moreso a speedy return. Laßeet, and Adrian%ic- ker-Carten R. N. R. of England and Captain of the Cable Ship Henry Holmes was celebrated at the Municipal Hospital where the bridegroom was convalescing on Tuesday atternoon October 31st. . The Rev. Fr. Griffiths, rector of All Saints Church performed the ceremoney. Miss Laßeet, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of white chiffon cloth trimmed with silver lace. Mr. Jobhn Ward, purser of the Henry Holmes, was the best man. The others present were: Judge and Mrs. Thiele, Mrs. Knud-Hansen, Commander Laub and Consul and Mrs. Stewart. The ship having to sail, it was compulsory that the bridegroom should go, but not without the bride, for her training as a nurse—- she being graduated from St. Johns Hos- pital, Brooklyn —enabled her to take care of him. : o Our congratulations to the newly-wed and to Mr. and Mrs. Carl V.
