Office of the Commissioner September 16, 2022 PUBLIC NOTICE Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. John CZM Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 4:00 pm. In an effort to help to reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom. The agenda is as follows: Decision Meeting (Public testimony will not be heard): Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (Federal Consistency Determination No. CZJ-02- 22(FC)) is proposing the complete demolition/removal of buildings and support structures in preparation for the construction of a new Cruz Bay Head Start Facility. The existing infrastructure suffered major damage during Hurricane Irma in September 2017 and the project will be funding provided by the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 (Feb. 9, 2018). …

Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. John CZM Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 4:00 pm. In an effort to help to reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom. The agenda is as follows: Decision Meeting (Public testimony will not be heard): Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (Federal Consistency Determination No. CZJ-02- 22(FC)) is proposing the complete demolition/removal of buildings and support structures in preparation for the construction of a new Cruz Bay Head Start Facility. The proposed design includes two (2) buildings, one is approximately 1,695 square feet and the other is approximately 1,230 square feet; eight (8) parking spaces including one (1) that is ADA-compliant; a playground area; a utility yard to accommodate a septic tank; a power generator and a cistern. The proposed project is the initial step in expanding the services provided by the department’s Head Start & Early Head Start Program on the island of St. John. The project is located at Estate Contant & Enighed, St. John.
