The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated from the Sewage System Fund for operating expenses, including expenses for maintenance, supplies, machinery and equipment and other purposes of the Department of Public Works for the fiscal year October 1, 2002, through September 30, 2003, and shall remain available until expended. …
