ACT NO, 6927 NO. 27-0006 TWENTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2007 An Act amending 3 V.I.C., chapter 40, section 1203(a) (9) relating to the Inspector General’s authority to employ personnel and 3 V.I.C., chapter 25, section 492 (b) relating to the coverage of the personnel position classification system ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 40, section 1203, subsection (a), is amended in paragraph (9) after “personnel” by inserting “into classified positions without following the certification and appointment procedures prescribed in section 526 of this title, and may employ such other employees by contract or otherwise”. SECTION 2. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 25, section 492, subsection (b) is amended in the following instances: 1. by adding paragraph (9) to read: “the staff of the Office of the Virgin Islands Inspector General.”; in paragraph (7), by striking “and” after the semicolon; and in paragraph (8), by striking the period and inserting ‘; and”. …
