July 13 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Government House announced Monday that the Bryan-Roach Administration has issued another round of income tax refunds totaling approximately $5.4 million to about 1,632 Virgin Islands tax filers, continuing the administration’s steady work to bring refunds current and return money owed to taxpayers. The announcement was made by Government House Director of Communications Richard Motta Jr. during the Government House weekly press briefing on Monday, July 13, 2026. “In closing this afternoon, I am pleased to announce that the Bryan-Roach Administration has issued another round of income tax refunds totaling approximately $5.4 million to about 1,632 Virgin Islands tax filers,” Motta said. The latest round of refunds is being paid to taxpayers who are due an income tax refund and who filed their income tax returns with the Bureau of Internal Revenue through the filing date of June 28, 2024. With this latest release, the Bryan-Roach Administration has now issued more than $37 million in income tax refunds during Fiscal Year 2026, which began on October 1, 2025. That total includes refund payments issued in November and December 2025, the $15 million disbursement announced earlier this year and Monday’s $5.4 million issuance. “This latest payment continues the administration’s steady work to bring income tax refunds current,” Motta said. The administration has made the regular issuance of tax refunds a priority, working through the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Department of Finance and the Office of Management and Budget to process payments as revenues become available and as returns are reviewed and verified. Motta thanked the agencies involved for their continued work to move payments to eligible taxpayers. “We thank the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Department of Finance and the Office of Management and Budget for their continued work to process these payments and ensure eligible taxpayers receive the refunds they are owed,” Motta said. Government House said the continued release of refunds reflects the administration’s broader commitment to financial discipline, accountability and responsible management of the Territory’s obligations. For many households, refunds provide meaningful relief at a time when families continue to manage the cost of groceries, utilities, transportation, school needs and other daily expenses. The administration said it will continue issuing additional refunds as revenues become available and as returns are processed and verified. ### TAGS No tags CATEGORIES Uncategorized Previous Next Comments are closed © 2026 Government of the United States Virgin Islands.
