ACT NO. 7638 BILL NO. 30-0443 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Special Session 2014 An Act ratifying Major Coastal Zone Permit No. CZT-03-13 (W) issued to the Virgin Islands Port Authority ---0--- WHEREAS, Major Coastal Zone Permit No. CZT-03-13 (W) was issued by the St. Thomas Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Commission to the Virgin Islands Port Authority on March 25, 2014, and approved by the Governor on April 8, 2014; and WHEREAS, Major Coastal Zone Permit No. CZT-03-13 (W) authorizes the Port Authority to dredge approximately 12,665 yd’ of material from the north side of Crown Bay Cruise Ship Pier and in Crown Bay (West Gregerie Channel) to bring the bottom depth of the North Berth, the basin area NE of the dolphin, and the area from the pier to the East Gregerie Channel to 10 meters Mean Lower Low Water, as set forth in section II of the Permit; and WHEREAS, the Permit also allows the Port Authority to dispose of the dredged material on an old quarry site on St. Croix located west of the St. …
