Turnbull, Nominee for Judge, Superior Court of the Virgin Islands – Family Division, St. Thomas–St. John District Dear Senator Joseph and Members of the Committee: I write this letter in wholehearted support of Attorney Melani L. Turnbull’s nomination to serve as Judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands, Family Division, for the St. Thomas–St. John District. Over the years, I have had the privilege of observing Attorney Turnbull’s professional journey and the remarkable consistency with which she demonstrates legal acumen, integrity, and compassion in her service to the people of the Virgin Islands. Attorney Turnbull has exhibited exceptional knowledge and competence in her field, coupled with a deep understanding of the profound responsibility her work carries. Her commitment to fairness, equal justice under the law, and ethical practice is evident in every aspect of her professional conduct. Having worked extensively with the Family Court during my tenure as Deputy Superintendent of Schools and later as Commissioner of Education, I am confident that Attorney Turnbull possesses the judicial temperament, intellectual rigor, and moral discernment necessary to preside with excellence.
