FRIDAY. 2ist MARCH 1924, tee, today signed sn acreement with rep- resentatives of the Cinadian National Railways to assist in placing in Canada selected groups of families from Greut Britain. The settlement commi:tee au- thorized leaas of 300 pourds 1o ecach set- tler, alse guaranteeing any inss up to fifty percent of the amount loaned. The first groups emigraiing under this agree- ment will settle at Tisdale Sask. Itis stated that only married coaples, with thorough agricultural experience, will be accepted and they wiil be expected to possess about 200 pounds of their own, The farms are limited to 160 aecres ani each group is restricied to twenty famil- ies. The present agreement provides for the acceptance of five hundred fami- lies.
