Office of the Commissioner December 12, 2022 PUBLIC NOTICE Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Thomas Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 5:00 pm. In an effort to help to reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom. The agenda is as follows: Decision Meeting (public testimony will not be heard): Federal Consistency Determination No. CZT-13-22(FC), the Virgin Islands Department of Human Services proposes selective demolition/reconstruction of the existing Minetta Mitchell Head Start Administrative and Storage Building Facility which was severely damaged by Hurricane Irma. The existing building to be rebuilt is approximately 5,000 square feet. The site will also have 7 parking spaces including 1 handicap parking. The site plan includes a service area, and an emergency power generator. The proposed project site is located at 100 and 101 Fill Tract E Crown Bay, No. 6 Southside Quarter (Crown Bay Fill), St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Federal Consistency Determination No. CZT-15-22(FC), the Virgin Islands Department of Human Services proposes the complete demolition/removal of buildings and support structures in preparation for the construction of a new Lindbergh Bay Head Start Facility. The proposed design includes, one building approximately 61 feet long by 36 feet wide for an approximate 1,938 square feet area. The site will have a playground, a rubber pad play area, as well as, an emergency generator and a cistern. There will be no parking spaces on site, DHS will be coordinating USVI Government to use an external facility for parking use. The proposed project site is located at Lot No. 27A Lindbergh, Southside Quarter, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Federal Consistency Determination No. CZT-16-22(FC), the Virgin Islands Department of Human Services proposes the complete demolition/removal of buildings and support structures for the Bolongo Head Start in preparation for the construction of a new head start facility. The existing structure is approximately 6,300 square feet. It will be replaced with a two-story 5,856 square feet building. There will also be a playground, generator area, a WWTP, a generator and 10 parking spaces, including handicap spots. The proposed project site is located at No. 9 Estate Bolongo, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
