ACT NO, 6834 BILL NO. 26-0187 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 An Act amending 20 V.I.C., chapters 31 and 33 to create veterans license plates —-0--- WHEREAS, Virgin Islands veterans of the United States Armed Forces have made significant contributions to national security and the promotion and preservation of freedom; and WHEREAS, many Virgin Islands veterans have sacrificed their lives for the protection of peace, liberty and democracy; and WHEREAS, the commitment and sacrifice of these men and women should be honored and memorialized; and WHEREAS, many other states and territories in the union have provided veterans with lasting and visible tributes; and WHEREAS, Virgin Islands veterans license plates designed for these distinguished members of our community convey a visible symbol of our appreciation for military services; and WHEREAS, the Legislature of the Virgin Islands supports the issuance of license plates specifically designed to honor and recognize Virgin Islands veterans for their service in the Armed Forces of the United States; Now, T …
