ACTNO. 7300 BILL NO. 29-0074 Twenty-Ninth Legislature Of The Virgin Islands Regular Session 2011 An Act amending title 33 V.I.C., chapter 29, section 1102 providing direct deposit for the issuance of tax refunds ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 33 Virgin Islands Code, Chapter 29, section 1102 is amended by inserting a new subsection (f) to read: “(f) A tax payer owed a refund has the option of receiving his refund by direct deposit or by check. At the time of filing the tax return the tax payer shall indicate on a form provided by the Internal Revenue Bureau, the method to be used to expedite the refund and provide the necessary information requested by the Bureau.” SECTION 2. The provisions included in Section 1 shall take effect no later than tax year 2012.
