Cruise passenger arrivals reached a milestone of 2,008,991. Air visitor arrivals closed 2011 with a modest drop of 1.8 percent from 691,558 in 2010 to 678,961 in 2011. Major carrier seats direct annual seats were 13,623 compared to 12,567 direct seats in calendar year 2010, an increase of 5.5 percent The Territory’s hotel annual occupancy rate decreased 4.9 percentage points from 57.0 percent in 2010 to 52.1 percent in 2011. Accommodation establishments reported 734,941 guests stayed in the Territory--a 9.9 percent decreased under the 816,103 guests who stayed during the same twelve-month period in 2010. …
