ACT NO. 7328 BILL NO. 29-0217 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2011 An Act to approve certain projects to be funded with the 2011 Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Development ---0--- WHEREAS, the Territory of the Virgin Islands has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $1,872,506 for Fiscal Year 2011, and the Government of the Virgin Islands must submit a formal application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the grant funds; and WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from a governmental and non- governmental agencies and organizations for projects to be considered for funding from this grant; and WHEREAS, 59 proposals totaling $7,515,106.81 were received; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program staff reviewed and evaluated the proposals for eligibility in accordance with the applicable program regulations, consistency with the Five-Year Consolidated Plan, and overall feasibility; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program sta …
