ITEM 50101 AND 50201 SHALL INCLUDE ALL SAW CUTTING NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A NEAT EDGE, REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF CONCRETE, AND ANY NECESSARY EXCAVATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM COMPACTION TESTS WITH A NUCLEAR GAUGE ON A DAILY BASIS WHEN COMPACTION OF MATERIAL IS IN PROGRESS. A MINIMUM OF ONE COMPACTION TEST MUST BE PERFORMED PER LIFT AND ALL TESTS RESULTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO DPW FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
