He also thanked Mr. Malecolm @gaard and his brother-in- law Mr. Slyvis by whose efforts in this matter the project was accomplished. The film shown was The Return of Tar- zan, one of the most classy and at the same time sane, and up-to-date of rrov- ing picture productions, and it did not fail to win the satisfaction of the house. Music was furnished by piano and flute, the performers being Mr. W. Samuel and Mr. Juan Rivera. On the whole a very enjoyable evening was afforded and jud- ging by the large and choice gathering present it may be assumed that there will be no lack of appreciation, nor pa- tronage of the following shows the next of which is this evening, the picture be- ing And the Children Pay, a film of cap- tivating and interesting character. London, March 30th. —There appeared to be some doubl prevalent today as to whether Mr. Lloyd George would secure a vote of confidence in the House of Com- mons next Monday, when he outlines the Govts. programme at the Genoza econ- omic conference and asks the lower house ™ of Parliament %o sanction it. Mr. Austin Chamberlain®today parried the question of Mr. Asquith, as to whether any agree- ment had been arrived at during the Boulogne conference between Mr. Lloyd George and M. Poincare, limiting the subjects to be discussed at Genoa. Mr. Chamberlain merely informed Mr. As- ~ guith that the Premier would deal fully with the Genoa conference in s speech on Monday. The Liberals, following another meeting today, decided €0 pro- pose an amendment to the conference re- solution which Mr. Lloyd George pur- poses t) place before the House as follows.
