ACT NO. 737% BILL NO. 29-0302 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act amending title 27, chapter 1, subchapter IIa of the Virgin Islands Code by increasing the scope of practice and prescriptive authority of physician assistants, increasing the delegatory authority of physicians, and reducing the supervisory responsibilities of physicians ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 27, chapter 1, subchapter IIa of the Virgin Islands Code is amended by repealing and reenacting sections 50h, 50i, and 50j as follows: “§ 50h. Scope of practice, delegatory authority, agent of supervising physician (a) Physician assistants practice medicine with physician supervision, as provided in section 50j. Physician assistants may perform those duties and responsibilities, including the ordering, prescribing and dispensing and administering of drugs and medical devices that are delegated by their supervising physician or physicians. …
